Enhancement of Methane Adsorption by Lithium Doping into Metal-Organic Framework Cu-BDC
Copper (II) carboxylate, (Cu-BDC), metal-organic-framework (MOF) has been synthesized undersolvothermalconditions and used as a new adsorbent for the methane. The Lithium doping intoCu-BDC, (Li-Cu-BDC), is made by impregnating Cu-BDC with an ethanol solution ofLiNO3, followed by heat treatment in vacuum. The adsorbent was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared ...
متن کاملCalligraphic poling of Lithium Niobate.
We demonstrate a novel technique for instituting complex and arbitrary shaped micron-scale domain patterns in LiNbO3 at room temperature. Fabrication of continuous domains as narrow as 2 microm across and hexagonal patterns of the same order accompanied by real time visualization of the poling process are presented.
متن کاملFabrication of p-type lithium niobate crystals by molybdenum doping and polarization
The lack of p-type lithium niobate limits it serving as an active material. A series of Mo-doped and pure congruent lithium niobate crystals were grown by Czochralski method under different polarization conditions. Their dominant carrier species were characterized by holographic experiment. The results showed dominant charge carrier species may be changed from electrons to holes when lithium ni...
متن کاملOf Multiple Hologram Recording in Lithium Niobate
The results of detailed experimental and theoretical considerations relating to multiple hologram recording in lithium niobate is reported. The following problem areas are identified and discussed: 1) the angular selectivity of the stored holograms, 2) interference effects due to the crystal surfaces, 3) beam divergence effects, 4) material recording sensitivity, and 5) scattered light from mat...
متن کاملGbit / s Lithium Niobate Modulator
As 10 Gbit/s long-distance optical communication systems become more and more pervasive, requirements rise relating to increased levels of performance, as well as the miniaturization of key devices that configure such systems. Lithium niobate (LN) modulators are used primarily as optical modulators that change high-speed electrical signals at 10 Gbit/s to optical signals for long-distance commu...
